Iguazu Wildlife
Our week or so on the Brazil-Argentina border may not have been our most spectacular ever in terms of spotting wildlife, but it had its moments – moments dominated by butterflies. Here’s some nature shots to wind up that part of this trip….

Love the green butterfly. Goes so well on that background 🫠💚

Properly camouflaged – similarly, some of the really colourful have brown backs to the wings, so when they settle, they merge into the dead leaves on the ground and all but disappear

Wow, so many beautiful butterflies and great shots of them all! I remember being awed by the butterflies there but it was in the days when we still shot 35mm and had to ration our film so I only have a handful of photos 🙁 Thanks (again) for taking me back 🙂

There are just so many, everywhere. Butterfly heaven until one turns out to be a wasp!

Just gorgeous. Shows how nature naturally has the best color combos! Love
! When are you in Mew Orleans? We leave 4/22 for France. Xxoo
Phil & Michaela
And the best camouflage, too! We arrive in New Orleans on 16/4. Back in UK on 22/5 but we don’t intend hanging around for long!

Glad I’m not the only one who spent half their time in Iguazu chasing butterflies 😊

Aren’t they gorgeous? Tropical butterflies are the most beautiful ones❤️
Phil & Michaela
Yes, really beautiful. And some of the camouflage is so clever too!

Two fabulous photo shoots in a row with Paraty city shots, then tropical butterflies. Can’t wait to see what we’ll be treated to next!
Phil & Michaela
Thank you Annie!

Glorious butterflies, the incarnation of fragility, transience and sublime beauty. The green one from your cover shot is my favourite. The hummingbird is gorgeous as well and has such a dignified posture.

The sheer numbers of butterflies is the most amazing aspect of. So many!

Gorgeous, I can’t remember the last time I saw a colourful butterfly in the wild.

This is the one insect that we have not been able to successfully photograph until now – the beautiful butterfly. Thanks, I really enjoyed this post.

There are so, so many, just everywhere
