As every traveller knows, when you look back through old travel photos, many of them trigger wonderful memories. With no current prospect of travel even domestically let alone worldwide, we will have no new adventures to blog, but we do have many such memories…..

Photo #4: Thai Sunset

Capturing a sunset on camera is something every traveller has done numerous times, but of all our sunset photos, this is probably our favourite. Michaela hasn’t done any doctoring of this photograph, not even enhanced any colouring, what you see in the photograph is exactly how it was. Just to make it even more special, we were drinking some very strong and very cheap cocktails on the beach whilst watching this incredible sunset unfold, making it just one of those unforgettable nights. The location is the beach at Klong Nin village on the beautiful island of Koh Lanta.

Don’t let anything at all put you off, Thailand is literally a country with everything. We spent time in 3 cities, on the islands, and in a tribal village, each one fabulous. And on top of that, Thailand is in our top 3 of foodie destinations. Thoroughly recommended!

Just read your original post that contained this Photographic Memory. I especially loved the post’s last photo of the sunrise. Two weeks in such an idyllic place must have been what your souls needed. I hope you can escape to your memories of your time there in this challenging time.

Thailand and its islands are beautiful. So varied and the people are amongst some of the friendliest and gentle people we have met. There is so much more of the country for us to explore so we do hope to return one day.
